Paul Ellis Honorary Tournament

Coach Paul’s favorite things to do were to coach and play soccer. So, it is only fitting that our fundraising events are influenced by him:

On Friday May 30th 2025, we co-hosted a fundraising event with Rockville Centre Soccer Club at the Rockville Centre Sports Complex (Bralower Field) to honor Coach Paul. The event featured soccer tournaments, where young players of Rockville Centre Soccer and others were invited to form teams and recruit players to participate. Along with ~115 players, we had 35 high school volunteers who generously dedicated their night to promoting our cause, coaching teams, refereeing games, working at sign in booths, and even running our concession stand.

We would love to give a Special Thanks to many people and groups, including:

Mrs. Ebel (Sideline Eebs) who helped us create our own buoy 4 merchandise store, created our shirts for the event and advertisements,

The Rockville Centre Soccer Club for providing us with equipment, field space and advertisements,

Our highly supportive Corporate Sponsors for the event: Buoy 4, Core + Co, Custom Awards Long Island, George Martin the Original, Medtronic, Real Smiles Photography, Slider Joes, Sideline Eebs, The Chefs Corner Cafe and The George,

And most importantly Mrs. Ellis, Coach Paul’s wife. She has been very strong through a tough time for her and her family, and has been immensely supportive for our work. We could not have done any of this without her and we can’t thank her enough. Thank you Mrs. Ellis.

From this event after expenses, we were proudly able to donate $14,000 (!) to the American Stroke Association in the respect of Paul Ellis and his impact on our community.
